Goodbye Movie Story
The story of the movie Goodbye revolves around a dysfunctional family. Lawyer Tara (Rashmika Mandanna) stays in Bangalore with her partner Mudassa (Shivin Naran). She goes to a party after winning her first lawsuit. Tara does not respond to calls or texts her messages from her mother Gayatri (Neena her Gupta). She finds out that Gayatri has died when her father calls Harish (Amitabh Bachchan) on the same day. In order to be with Harish, she immediately travels to her native Chandigarh. Three other children, Harish's eldest son Karan (Paveil Gulati), who lives in San Francisco, his younger son Nakul, and an adopted son named Angad, who lives in Dubai, also belong to Harish. They're all gone Karan and Angad are also booking her first scheduled Chandigarh flight. Nakuru is unavailable during that time. The first person is Tara. She and Harish disagree about the funeral and they argue about it. Harish is also angry with Karan and Angad as they seem unaffected by his mother's death. A fight breaks out at the house over Harish's actions. However, neither is a choice. They have to live together under one roof for several days. The rest of the movie is based on what happens next.

गुडबाय फिल्म की कहानी एक बेकार परिवार के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। वकील तारा (रश्मिका मंदाना) अपने साथी मुदसा (शिविन नारन) के साथ बैंगलोर में रहती है। वह अपना पहला मुकदमा जीतने के बाद एक पार्टी में जाती है। तारा अपनी मां गायत्री (नीना उसकी गुप्ता) के कॉल या मैसेज का जवाब नहीं देती है। उसे पता चलता है कि गायत्री की मृत्यु हो गई है जब उसके पिता ने उसी दिन हरीश (अमिताभ बच्चन) को फोन किया। हरीश के साथ रहने के लिए वह तुरंत अपने पैतृक चंडीगढ़ चली जाती है। तीन अन्य बच्चे, हरीश का सबसे बड़ा बेटा करण (पावेल गुलाटी), जो सैन फ्रांसिस्को में रहता है, उसका छोटा बेटा नकुल और अंगद नाम का एक दत्तक पुत्र, जो दुबई में रहता है, भी हरीश के हैं। वे सब चले गए करण और अंगद भी उसकी पहली निर्धारित चंडीगढ़ उड़ान की बुकिंग कर रहे हैं। उस दौरान नाकुरु अनुपलब्ध है। पहला व्यक्ति तारा है। वह और हरीश अंतिम संस्कार के बारे में असहमत हैं और वे इसके बारे में बहस करते हैं। हरीश भी करण और अंगद से नाराज है क्योंकि वे उसकी माँ की मृत्यु से अप्रभावित हैं। हरीश की हरकत को लेकर घर में झगड़ा हो जाता है। हालांकि, कोई विकल्प नहीं है। उन्हें कई दिनों तक एक ही छत के नीचे एक साथ रहना पड़ता है। बाकी की फिल्म आगे क्या होता है पर आधारित है।
